About Graham Gouldman
British singer, songwriter, and musician Graham Gouldman first became known in the 1960s as a member of the band The Mockingbirds. But when the group went their separate ways in 1966, it was Graham’s exceptional talent as a songwriter that truly put him on the map. During this eventful decade, Graham composed an impressive string of hits that not only cemented his reputation as one of the music industry’s finest songwriters, but also enriched the catalogs of some of the era’s most prominent bands. He contributed songs such as “Pamela, Pamela” for Wayne Fontana; “For Your Love,” “Evil Hearted You,” and “Heart Full of Soul” for The Yardbirds; “Bus Stop” and “Look Through Any Window” for The Hollies; “No Milk Today” and “Listen People” for Herman’s Hermits; and “Tallyman” for Jeff Beck. Graham Gouldman’s melodic and highly skilled songwriting became an essential part of these bands’ successes and helped define the musical landscape of the 1960s.
In 1972, together with Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme, he co-founded the iconic band 10cc. Together they created an unparalleled catalog of music that would dominate the charts and capture the attention of the music world. With their unique blend of pop, rock, and artistic experimentation, 10cc became known for their captivating songs and innovative soundscapes.
The band produced several Top 10 hits, including three chart-toppers: “Rubber Bullets,” “I’m Not In Love,” and “Dreadlock Holiday.” Other successful songs from their catalog include “Donna,” “Art For Art’s Sake,” “Good Morning Judge,” “The Things We Do For Love,” “I’m Mandy Fly Me,” and “The Wall Street Shuffle.” These songs became the soundtrack to an era and cemented 10cc’s place as one of the most influential and distinguished groups in the music industry during the 1970s.
This exclusive circle includes other musical geniuses such as Noel Coward, Burt Bacharach, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Sting.
While Graham Gouldman continues to front the current live lineup of 10cc, he also explores his musical breadth and versatility with his four-piece semi-acoustic band, Heart Full of Songs. Through this project, he performs material spanning his entire songwriting career, including an impressive collection of classic hits, film music, and songs from his solo albums.
